Reporting an incident and file a motor claim

  1. Call the AXA Hotline service at 02 118 8111 (available 24 hours a day).
  2. For minor accidents or damages with no third-party involved, you can file a claim immediately via the AXA website.
  3. Send any additional documents by post or visit the office during business hours at

Information required of the incident

  1. First and last name and mobile number of the driver at the time of the incident and person reporting the claim.
  2. Insured vehicle details: plate number, make, and model.
  3. Date, time, and location of the incident.
  4. Visible signs of damage/injury resulted from the incident.
  5. Policy number (if any).

After reporting the accident, stay at the scene and follow the instructions of the officer. Do not move the vehicle unless instructed by the police. If it is clear who is at fault or not at fault and you have supporting evidence, or if it is necessary to move your vehicle, you must notify the company first. Do not agree to any compensation if you are uncertain about the circumstances of the accident.

Required documents for car insurance claims

  1. For the insured vehicle:

    • Completed damage report or claim form (if provided by a surveyor).
    • Car insurance claim form (if filing without a surveyor).
    • Copy of the driver's licence.
    • Copy of the vehicle registration.
    • Power of attorney and ID copies (if another person is filing on your behalf).
    • Any additional documents requested by the company.
  2. For the third-party’s vehicle (if applicable):

    • Completed damage report or claim form.
    • Copy of the vehicle registration.
    • Copy of the driver's ID card.
    • Copy of insurance policy (if any).
    • Power of attorney and ID copies (if authorised representative is filing).
    • Any additional documents requested by the company.

For compulsory motor insurance: The company will review and process the claim within 7 days from the date it is notified of the incident or receives the claim, along with all required documents or evidence, unless there are exceptional circumstances, in which case the claimant will be informed.

For voluntary motor insurance: The company will complete the investigation and/or damage assessment within 15 days from the date it is notified of the incident or receives the claim, together with all necessary documents or evidence - unless there are exceptional circumstances, in which case the claimant will be informed.
